The Mahler Connection

In response to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Gustav Mahler (1865-1911), KlaraFestival 2010 is bringing this composer and conductor face to face with his predecessors, contemporaries and successors: through music, dance and film.

Spread over more than 50 programmes in BOZAR, De Munt, Kaaitheater, Flagey and CINEMATEK, amongst others, the Klarafestival (7-11 sept. 2010) welcomes an international and surprising selection of high-quality performers in Brussels: Maurizio Pollini, Uri Caine, Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam, Concerto Köln, Simone Kermes, Sol Gabetta, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Collegium Vocale Gent, Andreas Staier, Champ d’Action and many others. New multidisciplinary projects, such as Club K or the creation of the latest dance performance by Claire Croizé, are however also on the programme.
